Meet Salara & Wasabi.
It’s not every day that we get a 2-for-1 special like these little cuties! We were so excited to have little Salara and Wasabi visit us in our downtown Sacramento photography studio for a couple of adorable dog portraits. Just look at those faces! How could we be anything less than ecstatic to spend some time together?
Joining Wasabi and Salara was the rest of their family. Daughter Ryoko and mom Tetsuko moved here from Japan, and have lived in the area since 2003. When we asked what their overall goals were for our shoot, Ryoko and her mother were very clear: family photos! How could we say no?
The Sweet Old Man.
With more than one little cuties, it’s important for us that we’re paying attention to individual needs and signs. We like to get to know our clients – pets absolutely included! Spending time with them and being able to understand their cues and social hints is a big part of our dog portrait sessions. We want our clients to feel comfortable with us so that they’re comfortable in their photos.
So, naturally, we got to know little Wasabi! An older gentleman, this happy little Dachschund was just what we needed to brighten our day. With long, floppy ears and a handsomely serious face, he stole our heart. His curious and spunky personality, often found in dogs of his breed, made us smile from ear to ear!
The Pretty Little Girl.
After getting to know him, we spent some time with Wasabi’s best buddy in the whole world. Salara, with her fluffy white American Eskimo coat, is a little younger than Wasabi. Full of playful, spunky energy, she seemed just as excited for her photoshoot as we were!
Her curiosity was piqued by every corner of the room and every item in front of her. We loved watching her grow familiar with her surroundings! Lots of dogs of her breed have sharp minds, and Salara was no exception. So inquisitive, and so cute!
Dog Portraits as a Family Affair.
In a perfect day for the happy foursome, everybody is happy and smiling. “Lots of fun and treats for the dogs!”, says Ryoko. Sounds like a perfect day to us! We are so honored to have been a part of making such special memories for this gorgeous family in our studio. These smiles are ones we’ll treasure forever!
